where did the gixxer stereotypes originate from?

The Gix was the best performance for the $ originally.

Suzuki has brought extinction to the 750 class, so I would not say that's entirely true.
No other manufacturer produces a SS 750. Kawasaki and Yamaha tried
 
How did Suzi kill the 750 class? The market did, no? Being the only one offering a 3/4....they are trying to keep it alive.

The last ZX7 that tried to compete was heavy and unrefined.
 
The reason that there are no other 750's is because superbike class is no longer 750 it is now 1000. No point in making a bike that there is no market for.

Exactly. Superbikes have to be based on production bikes to qualify but Honda and Yamaha built "ringer" bikes, the RVF 750 and the R7 that weren't really available to the public. Today Suzuki stands alone with the GSXR-750 for posterity since they made the first modern production superbike repliracer.
