added a sae connector just behind the side panel, so if i want to strip the bike i dont have to cut any wires. also put a 10amp fuse, and wired it to a relay.

where is Radioworld?

GIYF.

400 North, get off at Steeles, make a left (Eastbound) and a quick right.

If you can wait, GPSCity is cheaper. Use coupon code RAMLIVECHAT

I went into Radioworld once and asked about a mount. The price was high and I mentioned GPSCity and asked they price matched. The dude practically scoffed at me.

Meh. I was in there for 1 item that they actually had for sale at the same price as everyone else and I needed it that day.

I hooked one of these up to the battery.....

and covered it with a plastic bag so I don't have to worry if it rains. My cord slides under the tank and come up out front.

If you hook it up to a relay, you don't have to worry about it draining your battery. It goes on and off with your bike.

Also, instead of a plastic bag, I'd recommend a water proof or at least resistant plug

Thanks, but I always take my gps off where ever I park so I dont have to worry about draining the battery. Also, I'm good with paying $6 and plastic bagging it:D

A couple years ago I bought a 12V to Femle USB plug, but the 12V ened was just leads instead of the common cig lighter ones. Made for a very clean install on my last bike and I left it on it when I sold it. I think I found it at CT last time but can't see it anymore. Anyone know where to get one?

That's the idea, but the one I had just had a small rectangular usb end with a little cap that sealed it off when nothing was plugged in.

I know what your talking about, i think CT stopped bringing them in. Ive look at 3 CT's and none of them had it, and it is no longer on their website

if you google up weatherproof usb, you'll find a couple people selling them in the states. its a bit more expensive unfortunately but it does look like a nice solution

theres also a guy on svrider selling them for a bit cheaper than what i found on some online stores
