This whole debate is ****ed up people.
Guys: Don't hit ANYONE unless you think they're going to break something on you or kill you. If the person is big, run. If the person is small, walk.
Girls: You don't have a free pass to lay a hand on ANYONE. No matter what. If you do, you're opening yourself up to whatever retaliation that person elects to give you and yes, you did ask for it.
This coming from someone who works jobs where getting physical with people is almost a daily thing.
As for the "girls can't do damage to a man check your balls" crap, my boss has scars all over his face and arms and is almost blind in one eye from a hundred pound stripper that started clawing at him at work. Anyone with intent can do a lot of harm.

Listen, no one here is disagreeing that men hit women. A lot of men do. They aren't in the majority, but they still are very abusive to women.
You also have to realize women are getting more aggressive towards men. Again, smaller amounts of women are doing it, but it's still pretty bad. They will use the fact that they are women to hit a man knowing that they aren't going to retaliate or some other white knight will protect them, especially in crowds.
We are not here to deny that men hit women in an abusive manner, but we also want to raise a point that there are some women are starting to attack men in an abusive manner. Neither is of which is okay.
Lastly, if someone hits you when they are angry or enraged they are for sure going to hit you again. Backing away will invite to hit again while standing up to them will say they can't get away with this.

Self-defense is gender neutral. If we take back the right to vote and right to work in jobs that really ought to be reserved for men, then sure, women hitting men gets special treatment - otherwise, gtfo with that stupidity. Hit first, get hit back, regardless of gender. Feminists often pull the "well she wasn't capable of doing him harm" card - trying to have the benefits of being male without the responsibility. Dude, I have no idea what kind of mountain or generation you are living in. Not all men hit women. I have never hit a woman in my life and probably never will. You are implying that all men hit women. Not all men do just like not all women do.
You need to understand that one point that everyone is trying to make that it's not equal in the eyes of society when a woman hits a man vs. man hits woman. Men have a physical advantage and women have a social advantage. Self defence options are available to women where it's not available for a man.
