Wheelie machine in toronto/gta ?

After using it, I would say, no, it's not good for anything, other than entertainment.
The rear of the bike is locked down. The front is tethered, preventing much over 11 o'clock.
There's no side to side to be concerned with.
There's absolutely no worry about looping it.
I'd do it again.

I know :'( my friend posted a video of it and thats what made me start this thread.
It looks to me like that would be a good way to get used to the feeling of being on one wheel.

What a coincidence saw their van today on the 403 coming back from niagra

Exactly, it's not going to give you a feel for the real thing, it's just for entertainment.

Wheelie machine lol... Get out on your bike and practice.

I cant afford droping the bike , i will never install cheap ebay fairings on my bike , only oem , and those are not cheap.

Its pretty easy to learn to wheelie, and contrary to popular belief about looping the bike over, you'll actually struggle to get the wheel up at first.

Things you don't want to do are trying to wheelie at low speed (anything under 40 imo) or trying to clutch it up in 1st until you learn to really cover your brake well. You haven't experienced all that these bikes have to offer until you've learned to wheelie ;)

What's wrong with cheap ebay plastics if you are just going to crash them?

There are some really good kits out there that most ppl can't tell standing 2ft away.

Just so you guys know these wheelie machines feel nothing like a real wheelie. The way the these machines feel and react to throttle control is nothing like the real thing. Not to mention most of these homemade machines are so ******, the operator has to help the bike into a wheelie with their hands. Its a waste of money IMO, and does nothing to help you learn wheelie in real life because it is so different...

I have yet to see one that is anywhere near accurate to how a real wheelie works and feels.....

I wish I had a guy with a rope tied to my front wheel to keep the bike in a wheelie without flipping backwards, and pull me down when I start to redline the bike at 12 oclock lol

If you think these machines are going to do anything to help you learn how to wheelie, they have you fooled....Its like going to PLadium an playing some fighter pilot games, and thinking thats going to help you fly a real fighter jet

All I would add/argue to this is depends on what you ride. Low speed isn't an issue for me personally, I actually find it rather easy to lift it up from a slow roll. Power ups in 2nd are unsettling when you've never done it before. That said screwing around doing wheelies on a supermoto is drastically different than a ss. I typically don't do it either op. I'd never buy Chinese fairings either unless it was strictly a track toy

Even on a track bike, you don't want cheap Chinese ****. It will explode into a million pieces the second your bike makes contact with the tarmac. As far as wheelies go, if you're too much a poonani to try it out on your bike then no amount of wheelie machine practice is going to help you. As previously stated, it's nowhere near the real thing.

Obviously its easy to lift the wheel at low speed or from a standstill, but balancing the bike side to side becomes a real element. When you're learning to wheelie at 40-50 you really only need to be concerned with how high the wheel is coming up, because the bike just wants to go straight. Low speed wheelies are a whole other game... everyone crashes learning the slow stuff.

At under 1000 dollars for all the fairings let them explode. Go price oem. Big difference in $

A good way to describe a wheelie machine is much like a mechanical bull at a bar. Sure it's maybe slightly similar but a real bull would have you off 100 times faster. Sober or not.

This site is often more entertaining than any wheelie machine! (and it's almost free)
One hand has no mercy for riders that crash while ****ing around.
The other hand condones wheelies.
WTF?
There should be a third hand for the mouth breathers on here that can't read.
The OP simply posted his desire to use a wheelie machine. NOTHING posted in OP about learning to wheelie. He wants to use the machine! He doesn't want to use his own bike. Get it? I'm the same. Been there, done that.
Carry on.

Looks to be like he wants to learn to wheelie.

Skip the retarded machine and get out there on your own bike. Rolling start around 40-50, 2nd gear, feather the clutch in slightly, throttle up wide open, clutch out.... rinse and repeat 30 times.

Read post #1, again. Rinse & repeat. (hint: he wants to use the MACHINE).

Do you have any recommended roads to practice on?
I don't see many parking lots where 40 - 50 + clutch ups would be feasible.
Is it worth it, doing it 30X? (I'm thinking a 172 times).
