More food pictures. Here are some other food plates and sampling dishes I've enjoyed lately. Large pictures.
Snack plate with four cheeses (Oka Classique, Beemster Classic aged Gouda, an award-winning Bothwell habanero and cracked black pepper Monterey Jack, plus a holiday Boursin cranberry and pepper Gournay), PC Chia and Quinoa baked pita crackers, Raincoast cranberry & almond crackers and an olive & florina pepper tapenade.
Fresh toasted buttered thick garlic bread. Rich, heavy, flavorful... and with nice minced fresh garlic & herb seasoning.
Two gargantuan shrimp (each near 1/4 lb) pan fried and served shrimp cocktail style with horseradish seafood sauce.
I reheated some of that amazing frozen garden roasted cherry tomato soup and served it with fresh hand grated grana padano.
Fresh San Francisco sourdough bread served with a premium award-winning Greek Koroneiki olive oil (PJ Kabos) for dipping.
Grilled fresh asparagus with olive oil and sea salt.
More fresh scratch made guacamole and fortified salsa served with 4 cheese nachos.
It's a medium spicy salsa with added diced garden onion, diced chipotles in adobo sauce and MX rojo habanero hot sauce.
Guacamole made with some added fresh squeezed lime juice, some minced fresh garlic and salt. Served in a traditional lava molcajete.
Charcuterie. This one includes basic and premium prosciutto, hot genoa salami and imported Italian Piaceri D'Italia Spianata Piccante. The premium prosciutto, imported Italian Picaron Prosciutto di San Daniele, is 10X better than the cheaper Canadian-made prosciutto. Excellent prosciutto like this has floral flavour notes.
More charcuterie. This premium plate includes imported Italian Piaceri D'Italia Spianata Piccante, imported Italian Picaron Prosciutto di San Daniele and imported Italian Salame Piacentino DOP.
I took more care here to unwrap the Italian Picaron Prosciutto di San Daniele and show it off better.
Have a great weekend. Eat well.
