Can’t say I’ve ever felt anxiety before or while while riding or driving (except for the first time I had to drive in London).
I’ve had that feeling occasionally before heading out on big water when conditions were poor. It’s uncomfortable, but for me passes once I’m underway, and after several good outcomes, it doesn’t happen much now.
It overwhelmed my wife. After 2 years riding, her pre-ride anxiety was getting worse, eventually it became too much and she retired.
Just power through for a bit. Getting confident on the new bike, a bit of seat time and a few good days with the wind in your face will put those anxious pre-ride feelings behind you.
