I lied about 3 tats being enough. Forgot I've been promising myself and the Squeeze for years that I'd get my ring finger inked. I quit wearing my wedding band decades ago. (wasn't good with the no jewllery rule and spooked myself catching it on the chuck of the lathe)

I've been using silicone wedding ring for years. They wear out after 5-10 years and then I get another. Electrically safe and almost impossible to get injured if you catch it on something.

Didn't even know that was such a thing.
That said I'll still shoot for ink. It's permanent ,like our bond. That and I'm not a jewllery guy.

Wow. 40+ years ago after the brutal pain of the thick outline the multi needled shading gun only tingled.
Yeah it's largely due to going over the same location with skin that's already irritated.

Anywhere the skin is thin though will be noticeably more uncomfortable.

Armpit, wrist, fingers.....😬

I had an appointment when I was in university and they called twice to bump it back as they were behind schedule. I took it as a sign and canceled. Kyle and I both don't have any tattoos and it'll likely stay that way as I have other things to spend my money on and nothing important enough to mark myself permanently.

Now if you are looking for one, this is a friend from highschool who is a phenomenal artist. If I ever change my mind I'd get her to do the work.

Guy goes on holiday to a Caribbean island and spends some time on a nudist beach. He proudly displays his tattoo of the name of his girlfriend on his privates. He’s been there a few hours when he looks over and sees another guy sunbathing and he’s struck by what he sees so he goes over to chat.

“Hey there” he says “I couldn’t help noticing that you have a tattoo with the same name as my girlfriend Wendy, and it’s in the same place as I saw the tattoo on your member too”

“Oh, that’s not my girlfriend. I work for the tourist board, that says “Welcome to Barbados Have a Nice Day”.”

Not into tats but always curious about what people spend their money on. How much is a sleeve? I know it varies with the artist.
Full sleeve? 5k+ easily depending on colour, intricacy, etc.

yeah, pretty expensive. I was talking with one good Jap master about full sleeve variation of one of his designs - 8K USD. The plan is to do a center piece and corners of the sleeve first (4K), second stage connect it all together (2K) and final fill up 2K. Can complete it all in 6months to 1year, depends of preferences and pain tolerance. And plus waiting list of about 6mnths as well..
P.S. Each stage is a complete stand alone piece so can rock it for a years to save money to move forward. That's the reason to split it

10hrs with one 10 minute break is my pain threshold. But that was with heavy shading

Holy ****…ok for $2k I’ll scribble on you with different coloured sharpies, both fine point and broad, it’ll look the same and if you pay in the next 20 mins I’ll throw in the sharpies too.
I’ll do it for 1k!

Not going to work for Japanese Tabori (Hand Tattooing) which still used to this day instead of machine.
They poke you with long bamboo needle bar one poke at a time :)
Regardless if I do it or not it's fascinating subject goes all the way back to samurai era.

I guess you don't see the irony of the forum liberal drum smasher making posts condemning/mocking people who exercise their personal choice.

Further choice for an equivalent product at a cheaper cost. Sounds pretty conservative to me. ;)

I heard Karina Gould speaking the words in my head while I read that.

I always thought of tattoos as an expression of who passed out first at a party, and wasn’t particularly good at choosing close friends.

Like this guy? I doubt he drinks or party much. Very decent guy :)
Some other mma fighters might drink not sure about passing first at parties though...
