What is your favorite bike you have ever ridden?

For some odd reason I love I-4's. Maybe I need to own a a twin to appreciate it. But hey, if it doesn't appeal to me the first few minutes, why bother?

My current ride, hands down. 84 Honda Shadow 750. It's a cruiser but you can still drag the center stand on a sweet corner and the stock pipes have the perfect tone - a mix of that V-twin rumble and a sport growl. It looks like a cruiser so never a hassle from the highway patrol. And when I'm riding two-up there's a lovely back rest for the wife. She loves the ride.

Yup, so that makes it (currently) a 2008 KTM Superduke.

I've rode tons of literbikes,600s. . . And the odd non... rc8 included,I enjoyed the super duke probably the most along with Ducati's 1199 models. My Fireblade is such an awesome bike overall I need something different to appreciate it again and again..

CR500R (full race prep). I've enjoyed all my street bikes and my current 1000 is my fav but none have made me smile like that off-roader.

For me i want to say something else, and people will probably say how could it be, but I have to say my current R1. I have owned this same year 4 times over and keep going back to it. I have ridden twins of different kinds, dirt bikes, smaller cc and my bike still does it for me. for some 4's dont do it, but I love it over a twin any day.

I have owned and ridden a few bikes, started with several i-4s and then I switched to twins and I currently own a I-4, a v-twin and a V4. My Favourite bike is the V4 (Aprilia Tuono V4R).
Amazing sound, lots of torque at the bottom end and a insane top end. IMHO, the perfect balance between the I4 and the V-twins.

Even though I've never ridden a V4. I'd have to agree with you here. Some things you don't have to try but know you'd like it

The 3 that I own now are my favourites, although the BMW K1300R and Ducati 1098 Streetfighter were both awesome too but I have to love what I own and ride.

You guys all refer to the engines for character.
Bigger engine bikes cost more, and have better brakes and suspension. Same with Euro bikes, they put the money in handling over engine power (although now they do both).
It's too bad small engine bikes with top -quality suspensions are rare, but light bikes are fun.

I never rode a V-max. But would love to.

Would also love to ride a RG500 Gamma
or a RZ500!!!!!!!!!!

Hmmmph - too hard...

Best all around Burgman 650 exec - from twisties to grocery shopping to traffic to cross country touring does it all in comfort, never breaks.

Prefer it over my ST1100
tho the 1100 is a rush.

Fav perhaps Honda 305 Hawk...first love n'all

Preferred it over the Yamaha 250 I got after it. Yamaha hit the pipe nicely tho.

I think I've seen you once in Bellfountain. Beautiful bike. It actually started the motion of getting me into a cafe racer (which I recently picked up - vintage thread).

I've owned a couple. Really nice is what I'd have to say. Returns similar numbers to my more modern 800's, but there is something about a 600lb bike launching that's hair-raising. Ultimately the highway wind-effect of a standard seating position with no protection got to me, but for a general purpose towner - a lot of fun!

I HAVE ridden a Gamma, a Walter Wolf Edition at that. A friend used to let me ride it whenever I was home from the army. Fantastic bike. I surprised a few riders on bigger bikes that had no idea what a "little" 500 can do.
