What have you found on the road?

Was going to Detroit over the bridge, stopped at the American customs booth with three cars ahead of me - was a small leather pouch on the ground. Picked it up thinking it might be some one's wallet - opened it up to find a pipe and (I think) a bag of weed. Dropped it as fast as I could and spent a few minutes stressing that someone saw be drop it and would think it was mine.

At the track this weekend someone lost a seat in the rhythm section, and another dude lost his silencer in the same race.

Do things that fall of of trucks count?

One time I was driving behind a large truck with a flatbed and a ball pean hammer came flying off of it bounced off the ground in front of the car but landed just behind the rear bumper. (stopped and picked up the hammer) A decade later a friend of mine had a super heavy duty washer about the size of a saucer from a hydro truck smash into his windshield. Fortunately when it penetrated his windshield it was in the center and not in the driver or passenger side.

That could have been nasty. I wonder if anyone's famous last words were "Is this sombody's gun?"

I found a dead-blow ball peen hammer on the street. Always a nice find.

zippo lighter, some small amounts of money <20 bucks, my own lighter three days after dropping it while walking my dog, a half quarter of weed, a jug of coolant, a 9mm FMJ round... thats about all I can think of right now.

This is why I safety wired mine on the bike, and even drilled the end of the can to wire it through. Imagine hitting a dB Dawg in a corner, or having another bike spit one up at you? :confused1:

On Thursday they sent us back to the pits so they could go out there and retrieve someone's cigarette lighter.
