For those who won't be familiar with the brand will wonder why you're wearing an Icon knockoff ("Jesus, dude was too cheap to even afford an Icon jacket").
I have two Dainese jackets, the Bora and the Tattoo.
Quality is top notch, the Bora is a few years old and it didn't peel. (I do clean it and treat it often)
The Tattoo is just badass, I bought it at the beginning of the season from Rider's Choice.
I put around 1500 KM's on it and haven't seen any "peeling" as you mentioned about your friend's jacket.
The softest leather, the best fit (for me), great ventilation and the price is well worth it IMO.
Neither of those jackets were cheap and I'm a strong believer in the "you get what you pay for" sentiment.
I can't/won't say anything negative about other brands because in all honesty, I haven't tried any.
Again personally I really dont like the look of them, and even if I did the peeling issue is still in my mind. Regardless they are way to expensive in to stunt in.
I wasn't going to say anything since I like to have something most don't. But................I have an Icon Overlord jacket. Perforated like crazy and stretch panels in the arms. This thing FITS. I have a muscular build with small waist, wide shoulders and somewhat bigger arms. Any jacket that fit onto my arms was about a 46 waist. Not the Overlord. The waist is correct and the stretch panels fit the arms perfect. And the air this thing flows is HUGE! I get chilly riding in 20 degrees and have ridden in 36 no problem.
Excellent quality to my eye and I love the design as well.
