I remember having to wait in line and sometimes over night for concert tickets. Man, that was fun.
 
I remember 2 double bubble gums for 1 cent.Playing in my front yard, as a kid and watching the high school girls walking to school in their mini skirts in 1969, knowing it was good and clueless as to what came next.The Alice Cooper riot at the CNE.Riding my 1st Mototcycle to Key West Florida at 20 years old with $350.00 cash and plans to return in spring.The list goes on...Great thread.

Going opening week to 'The Sky Dome'
Seeing the 'behind the Scenes' for 'Cats' and ' The Phantom Of The Opera' with school

Going to the movies to see 'The Lion King' 4 times
Going to see 'Jurassic Park' 4 times (once at Ontario place in the IMAX sphere.)

Going on school field trips multiple times a year; Ontario Place, Centre Island, The Toronto Zoo, Science Centre, AGO, The ROM, Redpath Sugar Factory on the Lakeshore etc... ( and on those notes when Ontario place ha that 'Nintendo' area to play SNES etc.... And when the ROM had cool displays with caves and stuff ....)

Singing Christmas Carols in the main foyer every year with all the other children, and also taking part in other culture's holidays (Kwanzaa, Chinese New Year, Passover etc...) I loved that school , so diverse.

Walking to the pool, skating rink etc with school and after school daycare.

Going to Kensington Market and China-Town every Weekend.

Taking the Subway and TTC.

Lots more memories ........
 
I remember walking to school by myself when I was 6yrs old, and taking the bus to KFC for my mom when I was 11. Now these kids can't even go outside and play without parents freaking out.

Oh, and I remember playing "Box" outside against the fence, our ghetto version of baseball.


We used to call that Berbe box drawn on wall all you need was 2 players min and away you went, those were good times.

Back in school, if you didn't have these, you were a loner. Sorry, I went to a bad school. LOLZ


I also remember when Hyundais were considered and acutally were junk.
 
Walking down to the corner store at 6 or 7 to get my mom some smokes.

Seeing a jaywalker get hit by a streetcar on the Danforth.

Being cheesed off when comics went up to 12 cents.

TV in black and white and rabbit ears.

I remember Toronto speed limits in MPH and when Toyota's were considered cheap, crappy cars.
 
As soon as you mentioned "Knob Hill Farms" the jingle, "you know you get good value when you shop, at Knob Hill Farms!" popped into my head.

You know you had a killer jingle when it sticks in someones head 10 years after closing down!
