What do you do to pass the time when you ride?

Do you just listen to the wind?

Do you listen to music?

Audiobooks?

Podcasts?

Do you just sing in your head and do drum solos on your fuel tank when stopped at a light?
I listen to music, only stuff I know - nothing that makes me think. No podcasts, talk radio, texting or audiobooks - they take too much processing power.

If the scenery is great, I slow down and observe a little. If it’s boring flat open big miles, I sometimes I’ll try a few pickup lines on Siri.

I listen to music every single time I’m in the bike, even short rides to burger nights.

I have about a thousand hours of mixed sets from me Dj’ing. House, techno, drum n bass, rare groove, disco, funk, reggae, hip hop and more. So many 2-4hr sets and that’s all I want.

Listening to the engine or the exhaust will put me to sleep.

Nada just the wind. I tried listening to music and I just zone it out. Too much to see, think about stuff. Even in open flat land there is always something happening. In a car I always listen to music, podcasts seem to fade away.

Music or podcast while on the way (freeway etc) to good riding but once the riding starts, I am fully engaged and love to hear the sounds of the engine and pops on the over-run when setting up for the curves etc.

Also enjoy chatting over the intercom with a fellow rider or 2 during the ride

Music. Love me a soundtrack when I ride! Can vary the mood by changing the playlist, from chill pace to FTP!

Tried podcasts, totally took me out of the riding experience and left me feeling disengaged. Never again.

If I'm going on a short rip on the Hyper, I'll go without music or earplugs/earphones. I love the sound of the engine and the Termis! Intoxicating!

If I'm on my enduro, I'm probably listening to my riding buddies over the intercom cut me up about how slow I am and how often I dump my bike in the ditch...

Long days in the saddle, music, podcasts, audio books, or the audio from YouTube videos.

Day to day riding, nothing.

Short rides - have a long running playlist that has the right mix ....even Top Gun.. ...expensive here to cater to tho if the throttle hand gets twitchy.

Long rides Audiobooks always. Got to get more of those going once the Dry is back. I have such a big backlog to go through. I need 2-3 rides a week of 4 hrs plus to make headway.
C3 helmet is quiet enough as long as the exhaust is quiet....some day I'll have a really quiet electric....nirvana. 🥴
