What did you do in your garage today..?

I installed a steering damper on my race bike. Bought it used cheaply without mounting brackets a couple years ago when buying parts for the R3. It hasn't been a priority because the bike doesn't really need it, but it's still better to have and not need rather than need and not have. Figured out mounting brackets, made them myself, painted, installed over the last couple of days.

So do you leave it lightly on to help you out or do you have it turned up because you don't often need big steering excursions on your race bike (or do you adjust as you ride)?

It's adjustable. I'll adjust it! Second notch from firmest seems about right in the shop, just enough to feel that it's doing something.

How long does it take to clear enough plastic that you can actually remove the valve cover?

I dragged this time capsule out the other day.

12 minutes later I had the top end off... 8 bolts

1973 TA125
Last of the air cooled horizontal split case 2t, before the TZs.
12500RPM redline
It's mint.

I'll see about dragging out a TZ350
Did you acquire this awesome collection when they were current or have you been grabbing them from other collectors? Looks awesome.

Very Sweet. There is something both sexy and magical to me about those long race tanks. I always think they look better with the fairing off so nothing detracts from the tank. Yeah the Squeeze calls me a weirdo too.
