What brake pads ?????

Wow. Thanks for the heads up. I mustn't be using HH then because my pads don't display any of the characteristics you describe.

Or maybe you don't use them like I do...

Maybe not. I tend to be a smooth rider. And I don't weigh as much as you so don't need to squeeze the lever as hard as you obviously do.

Or you're obviously a far superior rider to me. Which is what you're weak riposte is trying to infer.

I never inferred anything. Everyone uses the brakes differently.

Your post makes literally no sense. I posted up about lowsiding because I used too much throttle on corner 20. You do know that throttle and braking are separate tasks, amirite?

Your post appears in a thread called "emergency braking". Forgive me for putting 2 + 2 together and making 4.

btw, how do you get to 260kph on turn 20 at Calabogie. Or is that a part of your post that makes "literally no sense".

And talking of no sense howzabout "EBC HH are crap"

Such a blanket statement based on your opinion. Which you seem to think is the gospel around here. Yet people on here use them. And people the world over use them, it would appear without issue.

KNOCK IT OFF you two, that's an order!

Come on. If he can post "EBC HH are crap" without being called out on it then it's not really a forum is it?

Sorry Brian. But apparently reading comprehension isn't his strong suit, since I made no mention of 260km/h through corner 20 at Calabogie. That would be a feat to achieve...

260km/h or so. Thankfully Calabogie has good pavement, because I zigged when I should have zagged. Then I ended up wheelying through the apex on corner 20 and lowsided.

And yeah........................ rider training is good, mmmmk?

peace out, homes.....................

I had the ebc extreme pro pads on my 600 and really liked them. I haven't compared them back to back with others but they're apparently alot better than the HH pads.

Reading comprehension. It's important.

Best bang for your buck is going to be EBC HH or Vesrah RJL.
There are plenty of other premuim brake pad brands that perform exceptionally, but if price is a factor then you might end up spending nearly twice as much.

Brembo master would make the biggest improvement in terms of "ease of use". Much less effort needed and very consistent feel with an upgraded master. However these don't come cheap.

Like other's have mentioned in the post, also a good idea to get the steel braided lines which is a very in-expensive upgrade to further add to consistency to the braking system.

Lines oare done, Now on to my second question before people start killing each other lol, What do you guys recomend for a lap timer?

If you want something simple the XT Mini works well. It's what i use. I don't need anything more complicated than that. You can get them new for under $100 if you search.

XT and Mychron also make some very fancy units as well.

A transponder. :)

Is this a joke?

Sort of. All racing events and a pile of track events will let you use a transponder and get an accurate time.

Transponders don't offer live feedback of timing unless you're riding at a National event and even then you have to come off the track to check your times. Most likely you'll have to wait after every session until the times are posted.

Mosport, Calabogie and Shannonville have the AMB systems in place and the trackdays I've done at Shannonville have never used the AMB system. TMP and Grand Bend do not have any such system so a transponder would be worse than useless.

If you're not racing there is no point in buying a transponder.

TMP and Grand Bend have road courses?

^^^ that is a joke. Take it either way you like...
