What are your cheapest, yet best mods on your bike? (Less than $50)

There's a lot of expensive mods you can do to a bike.. but a lot of them cost a ton of money! Only three days ago did I discover that a Throttle Rocker existed for only $8.99 at Kahuna Power Sports that would make my long distance commute so much more enjoyable.

I also spent $20 on Pro Grip 719 Gel Grips from Riders Choice. These two mods have to be the best mods I've done to my bike that literally cost nothing compared to all of the other products out there. The grips feel great and really reduce vibrations!

I want to know what else are cheap mods, say less than $50 that I might have missed. I think this would be a great collective thread for all newbs as well to get out there and do these to make riding more enjoyable.

My "Chazzo" levers were about $50....a really good buy. I have the posh adjustable velcro throttle rocker too, about $15, very useful for long hauls. Throttlemeister cruise control was about $100...very useful and looks good. Heated grips were a 60ish I think, Oxford ones. If Ram mounts count as mods my bike is plastered with them....both bars and one passenger peg have Ram mounts on and they are cheap and useful.

I got the levers but stupid Canada Post strike probably has them back logged somewhere :(

Under $50?.............my tank protector. I didn't know there was things that cost less?!

Think I got mine for $49. Even used it to carry a jerry can on the James Bay trip.

when expanded - 40 litres ! Top section unzips and has back pack straps. Useful.

For your VFR - O2 eliminators - bypasses the O2 sensor and smooths out the bike a little. I put them in when I found the bike lagging at a couple of points (like coming of the highway and the bike feeling like it was running out of fuel for a second or two but it wasn't).

Its a $1.00 mod ;o)

some cheap SMD LED Bulbs from eBay, I think they were about $20 for a set of 4 for the turn signals, maybe less. Got an integrated taillight from a guy on a 250 forum for $40. My Ram mount for my iPhone was probably a little over 50, but it's pretty awesome for using TomTom while riding.

I've heard mixed reviews about this from VFRD. I'm running after market pipes and K&N air filter so if I O2 eliminate, then I will be running lean unless I get a PC-V. Right now with the O2's, the ECU can still correct the lean mixture, not as good, but better than without!

I have the same tank bag. I bought it from McBrides cycle back in the day and I've never seen a better tank bag yet.
