And drums, hehe.

Self taught piano and drums. Took lessons for guitar for 2 years but self taught the rest of what I know now.

If I set up another backyard jam session/ bbq, expect an invite.

Some late night road trips in the vw recently have lead me to listen to Clapton's From the Cradle followed by some SRV.........the guitar work of these fellas is effn amazing.

Saw Stevie open for Robert Plant at The Garden's back in 88???? SRV was outstanding. Then he died a couple of years later? The guy sure could shred.........

how the hell do you teach yourself piano?! I'm going to try that synthesia program when I get the chance.

I picked up guitar last yr, I'm trying to work on this but the technique is pretty new to me.

Piano for me is all muscle memory. I don't know how to read music I just remember what I did the first time around.

Finger picking can get tricky. Learn with your thumb, index and middle finger first then gradually move on to learning how to incorporate your pinky and ring finger. Pretty sure one finger corresponds to one of the strings. Learn Ed sheerans thinking out loud, that should get you in the swing of finger picking. Then try learning mojo pin by Jeff Buckley.

Honestly sometimes I'll just play songs in finger picking for fun because it can sound a lot better it gives it a warmer sound. Stairway is especially fun to play with finger picking

Also I know how to play stop this train on guitar (and almost all of his continuum album, solos and all) if you ever want me to teach you let me know.

I know a couple of finger picking songs but the 'slap' technique is new to me. Right now it's kinda sloppy for me, heh.

It's tough. I still don't slap in stop this train because it throws me off beat.

Mike Dawes is the master slapper give him a listen if you ever want to feel like you've got a long way to go with guitar.

I used to love that tune when it first came out - had it on vinyl and played it all the time:)

There is a really good downtempo version of it
