What a double standard.

This problem seems to be everywhere.

Working people don't party, they have get-togethers. Loud-sound is regulated, and it's off by 11pm.
The reason why people have loud music parties is to piss others off. Our society has given non-working people too much compassion. Go to any country in Asia, non-working people are treated like animals, and rightfully so.

If working people get the respect they deserve, partiers will get what they deserve...

LMAO!!! Are you serious? You really think we should follow the employment culture practices of places like China?? or other Asian Countries?? Countries that are known for 80-90 hour work weeks at slave labour wage rates ? I've been to a lot of Asian countries and most of the people that I saw who were "unemployed" were people who couldn't get a job because of discrimination - either based on age, disability, gender, race/ethnicity, etc. Most of the people were the elderly, the marginalized and the disabled. Yes they definitely deserve to be treated like the animals that they are ?? With little to no social assistance standards most of them end up on the streets begging for money and living in shanti towns.

I had an elderly man maybe 70 or so living under a scrap tin roof outside of my apartment in Hong Kong, and I lived in an expensive district - this was a man who spent his entire young adult life contributing to the work force but had to squander his retirement savings for his ailing wife's medical bills - she eventually passed and he was left with nothing - literally.

Personally I think we need to adopt European employment standards - I would like an afternoon siesta like the south western European countries and I would like vacation and benefit standards like France or Germany. These places recognize the value of work life balance.

I genuinely believe that every person has a right to a loud party/gathering once a year (whether it's a birthday, anniversary, etc) regardless if you live in a town house or apartment. Come on, everyone should be able to celebrate and have fun for one night. However I do believe that they should be on weekends, and just be courteous.

That or move out to the middle of no where and have a jam every weekend. But I guess that's what cottages are for.

That's a pretty ignorant statement. You really think people have parties and play loud music just so they can bug others? No, it's because they want to party and listen to some damn loud music. Yes, it very well DOES piss other people off, but don't go and say it's the objective. Claiming malice leads to malice, as most people don't respond well to threats made in ignorance.
