Hit some gravel in the turn, lost my front :(( Was going around 40, laid the bike down and just slid on the road. Broken arm, injured knee... 2nd surgery on the arm tomorrow, then 2 months in the cast.

Bike is almost fine, right and upper fairings scratched, bent brake lever. Winter project.

Ahhh bummer dude. Get better, fix bike, ready to rock in the spring.

mikbusa, you're running out of friends and I'm gaining more!
Enjoy the vacation E.

Get well soon!

A fall from 40 on a turn can break an arm? Were you wearing gear? (Not trying to be a troll, just trying to get an idea as I am going to be a new rider for next season)

GWS Rider, Southdown and where? Just so I can keep an eye out for the gravel.

Get well soon! I don't want to sound too prophetic, but you have some difficult days ahead and you'll very likely come out a stronger person. I've only been able to overcome about 95% of my fear of falling off, it still itches at me a bit when going round tight corners at low speed (I had a similar fall). Get the bike fixed, rest up over the winter and see you on the road in the spring!!! Cheers.

Sorry to read about your misfortune.

Get well soon.

Full gear except for jeans. Shoei helmet (toast), scorpion leather jacket, astar gloves, icon boots. Will tell you one thing - I'll never ride in jeans again

A fall from standing still can break your arm depending how you land on it.

To the OP, gws
