I put a phone up for sale this morning and got some weird replies. Can anyone help me understand what they're talking about? First time selling something online...

How much will you sale this article for me last???

The last selling Price??
How you doing,Do you still have the item for sales?
Gt back to me with the Last asking price and recent pics.

The bad grammar makes me think fraudsters from a land far far away.

LOL.

Some items just arnt worth selling on kijiji.
Try selling a cheap fart can for a civic on kijiji.

Go to porn site, enter his email there

I found Craigslist worse than Kijiji but when the buyer can't be bothered to type the name of the item you're selling they're scamming for personal info, valid email addresses or setting up a sting. There are games you can play with them but it's just a 2 way around.

Were they on an oil rig or in the middle east?

Got some legit responses I think... some low ballers. One guy wanted to try out the phone for "15-20 minutes"... I told him sure but it'll be at a secure location like police station as I don't want anyone running off with my phone.

Hopefully it works out and police don't get ****** while he's testing a phone inside a police station.

Kijiji is great, being a free classified and all, but **** are people ever a pain in the arse.

I recently posted a cable modem for sale... got at least 5 "is this still available", responded yes and got no response.
Posted it for $30, and got 3 or 4 emails with only "20" in the message... nothing else -- at least make an excuse for cutting the price by 1/3... oh well, patience brings results.

I hate kijiji **********!!! One guy said he'll only buy it off me if I lowered the price by $15. I told him "no it was the lowest on kijiji or anywhere else. I don't think you can find it cheaper anywhere."

Said he would come by to pick it up later. Texted him to see if he was still coming, says "out of my price range"

Others make up stories like "poor student can you do it for $100"

Sometimes when I'm bored I email sellers on CL or Kj lowballing prices, asking incoherent prices, making appointments to view the phone with some absurd locales, or strange hours - or best of all, trying to barter for the object. Like firewood for a car.

I would stab you if I ever saw you in person.

I prefer to stab first, then saw. It's just easier when they're not fighting back. Or did you mean that there's some newfangled remote-sawing technology out there that I'm unaware of?

A short transcript of a recent e-mail I got:

Delusional Prospective Buyer:
Hi right now futureshop is selling crysis 2 for 40 new.
so ill buy your game for 20 b/c before it was 60 in stores
*link to futureshop ad*

Me:
That's a great price! I recommend you buy it from FutureShop before the sale is over. Thanks for your interest.

---

His math made absolutely no sense, and he tried to low ball my $40 asking price. Granted, FutureShop did kind of screw me over with an untimely discount sale price. I ended up selling to another buyer who politely asked if I could do $35. I tend to give good prices to those who don't try to belittle my intelligence or waste my time.

I would stab you if I ever saw you in person.

Stabbing someone in person is much more different than the Duke Nukem experiences you're accustomed to. First, you'd have to stop hermitting and step outside. Then, after your eyes adjust to the sunlight, you'd have to weild that butterknife with your weakly arms. If you're still able to rise to your feet after I've put my boot to your head a few times, I'd put you back down so you scrape the bubblegum off my shoe, just so you can get some use out of your tools.

Then you can put that up on craigslist, so I can reply with some stupid offers.
