Weekday Newbie Meetup? (Downtown Area)

Hey all!

Finally enjoying my time on the road in city traffic (LOL). Waiting until I can pick up my M2 to go riding further away without being caught in the night or something.

Was thinking it would be cool to get together with some people over coffee or lunch on a weekday if any of you have days off. This is aimed towards newbies who aren’t group ride ready yet, but of course all are more than welcome.

I live in the downtown core, but we can figure out a location that works well for everyone.

Let me know if you are interested! I know there’s lots of social meetups but they seem to be sporadic. I wasn’t able to make it to Moto Social, so figured it’s worth a shot to do something a little less planned.
 
Lakeshore and Leslie meetup is a bit of a **** show though. Too many bad apples and squids. If you end up going don't get caught in the swarm that takes over the DVP. Apparently the police are stopping by lately as there's been some dirty riders running.
 
Police are always there.

L&L may be canned soon, apparently all the goofballs who attended last left their garbage all over the parking lot. Terrible.

Anywho, L&L is not newbie friendly. He's looking for something low key with other noobs.

How's galleria mall for everyone?? Parking lot is a bit rough lol but there's some decent routes around the city! Just picked up my M1, safety course, and a Yamaha V-Star 250 !

sweet! Also, actually, there's a sobeys nearby with an even better parking lot and lately there have been 2 pylons that are hanging out near the back of the lot for practice stuff!, and its a bit less ****** up as well

So is this going to be a slow speed practice meetup? I’m not exactly a newbie but could sure use some practice doing slow speed maneuvers
 
I’m a bit more of a newbie newbie but we dont have to keep it slow speed! that was just my plan for a meetup spot and maybe we could do some quick practice there and then head out on the road
 
Galleria is right on my way home from work, I always stop by MR for coffee after my shift anyways. Down to meet there weekdays after 7! I ride a CBR125 so I won't be racing y'all, but I'm down to ride!

We can even meet at MR and then head out somewhere from there.
 
Parking lot practice is also totally cool by me. I imagine we will quickly get called out for being weird if we are all in a lot practicing our braking etc. As long as our paperwork is in order I'm sure it won't cause any real problems though LOL.
 
I'd be down for this meetup as well. Could also head up more towards North York to find an empty industrial lot to throw some cones down.
