Wearing earbuds while driving/riding is...illegal.

I've always had one earbud in, left ear as I find my right ear is better and so I can still hear my surroundings and hear other riders that try and talk to me at lights.

bluetooth helmet mounted device you can pause/play for those moments. also, the more expensive ones have external mics to boost the ambient noise for those situations as well.
