WARNING About Buying HONDA Motorcycles

If you are planning on buying a Honda you better think twice. Last week I was buying parts for my bike at Kahuna PowerSports and a guy came asking for a part for his Honda, the guy at the counter told him they stocked Kawasaki, Suzuki and Yamaha parts but not Honda, the guy asked why and he told him something about Honda parts only being sold in Honda dealerships and that nobody had authorization to sell their parts but Honda dealers.

Do you really want to buy something from a retarded company like Apple or BMW where only them can sell you their parts/products at premium prices most likely?

Welcome to 5 years ago....I think it's been 5 years. Anyway this isn't news, so post tits pls.

Hrmmmmnnn..... I dunno. However, I have to say I LOVE my Apple iMac, iPhone and iPod, my Saturn AstraXE, and my Honda CBR600 F4i :D

You can not buy a Chevrolet part at a Ford dealer. Never have been able to.

You can also not buy a Toyota part at a Mercedes dealer. Nothing new there, either.

So why would you EVER expect that you would be able to buy a Honda part at a dealer that does not sell that brand?

Nothing new.....

Not sure why you bring Apple into this?... But..

I think the "retards" are those with blackberries - or other RIM Products

Oh oh you missed one!!! You cannot buy yamaha parts at a VW dealership!

But I expect to be able to buy my bike part at an independent part seller. Kahuna PowerSport is an indepedent bike part seller, why don't they have Honda parts? They have all other japanese maker parts.

@ FLASHMONKEY: Not everybody in the world has been in this board for 7 years and read ALL the threads, I never knew that Honda parts were premium and unavailable at independent part shops.

I've only been here for 3 years, and this was sort of a big deal. This happened around the time that Honda pulled all of their bikes out of independent dealerships and went with that Powerhouse model. There's literally a thread about this every year.

Also, I cannot buy Suzuki parts at a dealership that does not sell Suzuki's. GP Bikes, for example, cannot help me in purchasing an OEM throttle cable for my gixxer. Honda is an extreme case where you are literally restricted to just being able to buy parts at a Honda Powerhouse. Since a few of them have closed down recently, this exacerbates the problem. So sux for them, but again, not news.

Why would you want to buy motorcycle parts from apple anyhow???? That's just stupid....
Any place that sells, and services Honda motorcycles can sell their parts.....

Funny thing. My friend went in to get parts for his 33 year old Honda and they had some. For my 28 year old Kawasaki I was S.O.L.

Oh yeah, I also have a 30 year old Honda spring holding up my Suzuki's centrestand. :( My new Suzuki was recalled as well. It didn't have enough reflective stickers on it.

Crap! I already bought a Honda. What do I do? What did the parts guy at the counter say? TELL ME BLACK JESUS... TELL ME!!! I NEED THE PARTS.
