How to prep it? I play to dust and give it a good wash.. anything else I should do?

Drywall seems a bit more than I can chew.. so I think I'm just going to hang up some pegboards and screw them into the studs.

Sure, remove everything from the garage.

1. Is to sweep up all the big debris and such.
2. Get a good degreaser and spray down the entire floor
3. Than get TSP solution and sprinkle it directly onto floor.
4. Ensure you get a hard broom and scrub the floor with it.
5. Rinse and allow to dry, squeegee the existing water out of garage
6. Set up fans and dehumidifier over night in garage.
7. The next day you should be able to put down your first coat. I used acrylic epoxy. Allow it 24 hrs to dry.
8. Next day you should put down your second coat, and apply whatever decorative paint chips you need in the paint. Allow 24 hrs to dry.
9. Next day you should put down the clear coat over top of everything. This is the step that everyone skips and you get paint chipping / cracking etc. Allow 24 hrs to dry.
10. You should be able to walk on it next day, and start moving lighter stuff back into it. They say not to allow cars etc to park on it for a week.

I presented the OP with a project I completed last year.

A garage isn't completed till it has a beer fridge, a comfy chair, and entertainment.
