How would you carry around a bow in every day life. If you have it slung over your torso I can't imagine it will be easy walking through doorways
Not all that easy if you have a crossbow dangling off one shoulder either. A recurve bow could be maybe 5 feet long, when strung. A takedown bow could pack down to a couple of feet long, when disassembled. A Mongol bow, like the one I'm waiting for, is around 5 feet long when unstrung, 4.5 feet long when strung, and can easily be carried in a traditional leather horse bow carrier on the back, when strung.
