So I thought I'd care less about the postal strike, but since I ordered an r/r online for my Shadow I now have a stake in this thing.

What do you think I should do . . . .

Got the r/r online for about $150 including shipping.

Markham power sports wanted $280.

Anyone know where I can get a r/r for a Honda shadow at a reasonable price. I figure this strike could go on for a while now because of the daft NDP filibustering and I could just sell the thing on ebay afterwards?

U should hold off a bit. Likely they will be back to work next week. But ya I feel ur pain I've been waiting for my tail light for what seems like forever.

you're not alone, I ordered my Akrapovic exhaust and a PCV and it's being held in a warehouse somewhere cause of this stupid strike... cost me a pretty penny too!

It was the management that completely stopped the service..
http://www.cbc.ca/news/yourcommunit...ada-post-right-to-lock-out-its-employees.html
Canada Post locked out its workers Tuesday night and suspended all operations following 12 days of rotating strikes.
Robert Mulvin, president of the Vancouver CUPW local, said the rotating strikes had been effective in drawing attention to the postal workers' cause without overly disrupting mail delivery.

On Tuesday, federal Labour Minister Lisa Raitt suggested that back-to-work legislation was not yet an option, unlike for the Air Canada strike, because the postal strike was not national in scale. The lockout now raises the possibility.

So now you know who to blame and why they did it

So management just out of the blue decided to close shop? That's a little simplistic.

They had to close the doors because they were losing money due low volume due to the rotating strikes.

The union is completely clueless. There's this thing out now, perhaps they haven't heard of it, its thing called the internet? Apparently you can send messages over this thing almost instantaneously and for free.

Using articles fed to you by the cbc to support your argument = epic fail

as opposed to the sources you've used? oh wait, you don't have any.

oh great one, find us an authoritative source that proves this ISN'T a lockout. . .

can't question the facts, so you try to discredit the source?

pure logical fallacy on your part. weak sauce

It goes both ways guys....

p.s. sorry for the double post

yes it does.

the union was in a legal strike position, and the corporation was in a legal position to lock out.

the union didn't take their full opportunity, but the employer did.

both positions were entirely legal and within the bounds of labour law.

what the government wants to do now, and what they did to air canada employees, is a joke. they should just come right out and say they want to ban unions. . .same results

you think the labour negotiators for cupw don't know about the impact of email on snail mail? lol. sorry, your genius insight is unnecessary.

believing the 'low volume' claim is pretty 'simplistic'. . .how else could the corporation justify going to a lockout so quickly after the job action started?

@afong56.. I think using the truth is a bit futile against the "unions are bad and every union member should get enslaved or killed" mentality. Who needs facts when they already believe in a quick and easy solution?

CUPW + management = Fail. I've dealt with both and they are a pain to deal with. Lack of education and common sense prevail. Canada Post needs an overhaul. I only use them for packages now.

I'd pay the extra $130 so i wouldn't be bikeless for more than 7 days, but thats just me.

Maybe ask Markham for a discount on the part, doesn't hurt to try.

Order the part online and have it shipped to USadressinc in Niagara falls , ride over and pick it up in a few days then ride home. Of course this only works if your close enough to the border to make it worth while.

LMAO. That's one hell of a jump. Show me where I said it wasn't a lockout.
