What happens if "several thousand" yamaha products get stuck on the boat for a year or two? They are stuck on a saltwater lake, does exposure to that environment for too long doom them? Is there a glut of NOS 2021's that show up in a few years?

We've seen a HUGE increase in New riders this past 18mths due to COVID. The SCORRA (Simcoe County) and Ganaraska Forest Trails have been open since May 1st.
I think it was an increase of 63% in offroad bike sales for last year, and the used market for bikes are insane! Seen a few more Dual Sport riders too in the areas.

My buddy bought a 2020 300 xcw shipped from Winnipeg... apparently the last one in Canada... this was a couple weeks ago.

With 22's hitting dealers in 3-4 weeks I don't see why anyone would want a sitting '20 unless it's a REALLY good deal.
My riding partner bought a leftover 19 300XC when 20's were available but only because he really wanted a carb version.

It was still $12 grand.
He was told it was the same spec as the 2021. No idea if they are changing anything for 2022.
