VOS legit?

Also when I was there they were up front and told us that it's mostly USA bikes.

There are a lot of bike imported from the US and sold here. by VOS and others. The price is often better, BUT people should realize that a dealer may refuse to take a US bike in trade if you decide to change bikes later. No problem, you can sell privately, but just be aware - this could be a point of contention for some buyers. And don't think that GP only has good stuff. I looked at a blue Triumph Daytona there last year, really bad news.

You work for these guys or what?

No. I'm just a very happy customer who would shop there again. It's just getting old on the forum seeing the same "my buddy said he saw xx. ....." I'm sure in my trips I would have seen something. They're very open and honest guys. They went well out of their way to make sure I was happy.

I was there a few times also when I bought my bike, went through the back and everything and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Shanon and the team at VOS were awesome to deal with...

I dont see the big deal that the bikes are from the USA, every one of us could take a trip to the States and buy a used bike, just saves us the hassel of Customs and the paperwork headache... I know Im a commercial Customs Broker so I understand the ins and outs of it all.

I should check them out for an 06+vfr800. I was going to go the usa route as the savings (over $3k) is worth it.

You don't see the difference between purchasing a one owner bike here, meeting the owner and getting to talk to him vs purchasing a bike with unknown history that was sold at an auction, then imported and patched up with a profit in mind?

Do you know what kind of bikes make it to the auction majority of the time?

Some people in this world are so naive its hard to believe sometimes...

That's great, doesn't change the fact that they're selling us auction bikes.

I just find it strange that somehow all their used bikes are barely even 3000km on the odo. And the bikes dont seem to be in the nicest condition for something with such little km.

If they are damaged it's easy. I crashed my first bike with 107 km on to ODO and did $4500 worth of damage (dealer quote) to the $8300 bike. Had it back on the road the same year, rode it for years and slowly fixed it up, sold it last season looking and riding like new. Buyer's friend totaled it even worse on the second time anyone rode it since I sold it in a parking lot. Smashed into a wall so hard the bike was apparently in 3 large different pieces and the guy needed 20 stitches in his face since he wasn't wearing a helmet.
