planning to ride the transcanada from vancouver to toronto after june 15th.

anyone have any advice, and hints, anything to say please do so.

i'm doing this alone,
and my ride is a '94 900rr fireblade mod to a streetfighter,
taken her to mechanic and he says it's all good,

but any advice/etc would be great

also... if you or know of anyone wanting to do the same ride let me know

I did solo round trip on my 300+ km cage in July'10 - Toronto to Victoria and back within 10 days. Except Rockies and Ontario there is not much to worry about. Check for construction zones before departing. Ontario is infested with cops with lowest speed limits.
 
I've been there & back on a bike 8 times. I prefer the U.S. but just had to do the Canada route a couple times. If you do the U.S. you may want to hit The Cascade loop, Yosemite Park, Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore and Beartooth Pass, maybe even Sturgis if you're into that. Be sure to look up into the sky at night in Montana to see the stars. I never had a problem finding gas in the States, and I always found a campground. One year I became a Deadhead and followed then from Chicago to Bangor Maine just 'cause I had the time. I always rode solo aside from the odd hookups on the road.

Sorry to jump in but....how long did it take to get there and back?
 
I think you will find the route through the states to be more pleasant than the Transcan.
 
I rode Vancouver to Toronto last year. Parts of the TransCan are beautiful (Revelstoke to Banff, around Superior) but in general I'd recommend sticking to smaller roads unless you need to make up time. Consider taking the Sea to Sky Highway/Rt. 99 through Whistler, Pemberton and Lilloet. That takes you over the Coastal Mtns and into the arid interior. Fabulous ride. Another great option is #3 through Hope and Osoyoos and through the southern Kootenays. Id' also recommend hugging the US border through SK. Not curvy (obviously) but you'll see some of the last untouched natural prairie in North America.

The US may be more dramatic, but I think everyone should take the time to ride their own country. Have fun!
 
I prefer to give myself 5 days one way, (camping every night). I have gone Vancouver to P.E.I. in 5 days but that was a little crazy. I worked both in B.C. and Ontario so I would sometimes take up to a week to do a leisure ride, depending on my agenda.
