Out of ~90 cases I saw that day. Only 3 went to trial and a handful were adjourned.
The majority of the defendants were persuaded or coerced by the prosecutor to plea down to lesser offences or accept lower fines, probably not realizing that they will still have an increase in their insurance rates. Points don't matter to the insurance companies.
