UPS : if I don't pay what happens

That's weird, I ordered something all the way from Hong Kong and UPS never charged me anything, it was a pair of shoes, I paid $79 as advertised plus about $11 shipping fee.

UPS once told me the brokerage charge does not apply to air mail shipments.

You simply cant order through UPS ground, if thats the only way they will ship, i just look elsewhere.
 
I make use of a mail hold service, cbiusa.com . They will receive shipments under your name to their address and hold it until you pick it up. The cost is is $5.99/package for however long it takes you to get there, so if you have a few orders, you can wait until they are all there to do a border run at your convenience. Being an actual USA address, and not a PO box, I'm not worried about such things as brokerage, or denial of receipt. I highly recommend it.
 
Similar to suprPHREAK, but I use Kinek. They charge $5 per package. Being in Cornwall during the week, it's only a 15-20 minute ride to a receiving area in new york state.
