Upcoming dealer demo days?

Harley starts really soon...Like April 9th down at Clare's I think...

i'm looking to try out a can am spyder just for the hell of it, and I"d love to try out a daytona 675.

I think Two Wheel in Guelph will let you run amuck on a Spyder whenever you want. Maybe call and see.

Last year Kahuna had a ZX6R and ZX10R as demos. I took out the 10R for almost an hour as I waited for them to work on my bike. Give em a call and see if they will have them this year. If not they will have a Kawasaki day sometime later in the season.

GP Bikes told me April or May for Ducati's. Penninsula said May.

Budds BMW is taking appointments now, test ride day is the Sunday of the May 24 weekend.

i know sturgess has a demo daytona 675 that you can drop in and ride anytime, just bring your licence and helmet with you. might be good to call ahead... make sure that nobody is already out on it.

thanks, but I think the local can am dealers usually have a demo day. don't want to have to go all the way to guelph

good to know. it's one of my choices for an upgrade after this season, so i definitely want to try one out.

Kamikaze, me too. Want to make a day of it? :-D

sounds good to me :D

BTW, i'm going Sat to pick up the tires I ordered. Can't wait to get some fresh rubber on this thing

Nice. Let me know how you make out.

I'm heading to my sister's on Saturday, so I'll be picking up my GoPro and a few other things. I can't wait either!

Hey Im 21 would I get discriminated against if I tried to demo a daytona 675 at sturgges??

Or any other demo day for that matter, seeing as insurance is so high for SS and I would be going out strictly to just ride the bike

If a dealer is allowing you to ride their demo bike, it is up to their discretion whether or not they will allow you to ride. If you bin it, they're out a demo bike, and you'll have to pay for it out of your pocket. So you'll have to look like you know what you're doing, I would think, for someone at the dealer to be comfortable allowing you to take the bike out.

Demo days run by the manufacturer are less stringent. Typically, all you need is an M2. You have the same obligations to pay for damages. However, you typically just fill out a form and go on their group ride.

Yamaha is the only one that seems to require a full M license to ride one of their SS bikes. And they consider the FZ6R and FZ8 SS bikes as well. So if you want to ride a Yamaha, get your M.

Hope that helps.

i was only 21 when i pulled up to sturgess, but i pulled up on my street triple, i was wearing my leathers, and tehy saw i was damn serious about buying a new bike. so when i asked about a demo run they just told me to sign on the dotted line.

they're a fairly stand up dealer. the only reason i didnt buy that day was that i couldnt really get a trade in value that i wanted.

Actually this is incorrect. Every Manufacturer demo day I have ever been to ( and I have been to a few) you are not responsible for damage. And I must say that I have seen 3 or 4 people bin bikes on demo days and do some significant damage without being charged for it.

That's surprising. I definitely remember Yamaha saying that you were responsible, not sure about Honda, I'd have to look at my waiver (if I still have it.)

Glad and good to know.

Let's not forget there are usually demos at Ride for Sight!

the yamaha ride i went to did not consider the fz8 a SS bike, but the fz1 they did

I know for certain (99.999999% certain) that on Honda, BMW and Harley manu rides you are not responsible for any damages.
