Does anybody know someone who does/ has an ultrasonic parts cleaner? I need to get my carbs cleaned
I prefer the east end of the GTA but I will go anywhere in Toronto or the GTA

My wife has access to some in her dental practices but I'd imagine they'd be a bit hesitant to use them to clean motorcycle parts lol.

Mototecnica - Keele and Hwy 7. Talk to Enrico. He cleaned my carbs 2 years using this method. My bike has never run better.

Or...pick up a couple of 350ml bottles of Motomaster Carburetor & Combustion Chamber Cleaner. It's intended as an additive to your
gas, but I use it "straight" in a tupperware bowl to soak/clean carburetors. Used it many, many times, and they come out looking
like brand-spankers every time. Works like a charm.

I heard vinegar does wonders.

you can buy a cleaner for about $100 at lebaron...its obviously meant for guns but does the same thing.

Just be careful with above mentioned chemicals. Ultrasonic cleaners work with vibration and very mild "basic" solution. Some chemicals contain ammonia, aceton and some acids, as well. Motorcycle carburators are made of aluminium, therefore basic solution is required. Steel, iron and other ferrous materials require "acidic" solution for ultrasonic cleaning. Things can easily get messed up if you don't know what you're doing.

Using chemicals is a very old school way of doing things, do NOT leave any NON-metal parts in the carbs, these chemicals can damage them. Been there, done that.

Pay someone to have your carbs cleaned with ultrasonic vibration, it will be money well spent....

What's the capacity on it? If it's one of those 1.2L Hornady ones, can't clean much brass with it. Can probably get a 2.5L heated unit in the $130 shipped range.
