Two Resources Every Motorcyclist Should Own

Many of you probably have these resources. However, with so many new riders and all of the recent accidents and fatalities here are two resources that I found extremely useful and everyone should have them in their pesonal libraries. Heck, many of the silly questions that people ask about are covered in both. There is so much misinformation out there.

1) Proficient Motorcycling: the Ultimate Guide to Riding Well by David L. Hough - A great book with excellent stats. This guy keeps it real and articulates the dangers of riding very clearly along with good tips on keeping you safe.

2) A Twist of the Wrist 2 by Keith Code - I picked up the dvd on Ebay. Yes, the acting is a little cheesy but the content is excellent. A must have for anyone who rides a motorcycle.

Just thought I'd share my thoughts on this, I'd be itnerested to hear what others have to say about these resources.

thanks for the tip.. i'll have a search for them and will likely by 5 times as much as i would have because now i'll be bidding against a ******** of members of this site!

+1 Proficient Motorcycling. Great writing style and very informative. Technical but not overly so. I just downloaded the Kindle ebook a couple of days ago from a recommendation from my father.

+1 on Proficient Motorcycling. I reread the whole book every year, just before bike season. There is a lot you forget after not riding, especially edge traps and urban riding safety tips. I have not found a better book for urban riding safety.

Hough talks a lot about different ways to crash, and then things you can do to avoid the experience, in his book. Feel free to learn the hard way.

I learned "the hard way". Now I know exactly what it's like to crash, instead on just getting an idea of it from words on a page.

Plus, bitches love battle scars.

I have been wondering what to do with a Chapters giftcard, now I know. Thanks
