TVs - Look for advice on TVs

i have a 55 lg lcd 240hz and i love it and i have a 50 inch lg plasma and from the two for watching tv the lcd 240hz is alot better and alot crisper and lcd and led bulbs are supose to last alot longer and depending where you buy it warranty doesnt cover bulbs in plasmas but it covers the led and lcd bulbs
Plasma, LED, LCD Bulbs????

LOL!

Man I love these TV threads. Everyone is an expert.

Smergy is correct. Buying a 4k TV now is pointless. Content providers arent even full switched to regular HD yet. 4K content will be a long time coming. By that point the TVs will be THAT much better and THAT much cheaper.

Early adopters never end up winning in the end.

Samsung series 7100 - Got a 60 and couldn't be happier.

Best Quality vs Value

I am not an expert

LG 60" Plasma / smart / 3D.........I'm happy as a pig in poop with it so far.

If doing something for 236,000,456 hrs makes you an expert, I am a TV expert.....

Yeah I'm not really interested in 4K TVs right now. That seems a bit useless and they will definitely be WAY out of my price range.

Seriously Plasma? I thought Plasma should be avoided due to the burn in and other problems and it was best to stick with LCD/LED now?

+1. I have an older (about 5 years old, 1080i max...) plasma thats beyond the worst of the burn-in period (200hrs?), and it still leaves residual artifacts after an hour or two of playing with the PS3 or Xbox. About once a month I use the White screen option for about an hour to get rid of the screen burn.

My next large TV will not be Plasma.

I checked today. I dont have a 65ST50 in stock.

Hey N3WMAN, where do you "own/work"?
Yeah it's been tough to find that TV in stock anywhere (at a reasonable price).

I wonder when the new LG that were just released at CES will be available.

I have had good experiences (great prices and friendly staff) at update tv & stereo. They have 2 locations now (Elgin Mills and 404 and shops at Vaughan Mills). I have no idea whether they have what you want in stock, but it's worth a call.

I work in a secret underground bunker. I dont do sales hence why I dont know how much **** costs or if we have it in stock lol.

Gotcha. Well if that ST50 comes in stock let me know. Or if the new LG 60" comes in stock let me know. :)

thanks.

I really do like the Plasma picture better, however, I like the LG passive 3D a lot. There plasma's suck so i would only buy one of there LED TVs.
I sometimes have movie sessions at my place where I have a few people come over so the passive glasses are a lot more economical.

eoutletcanada.com is currently liquidating 59" D8000 series Samsung refurb plasmas for $1200. It's a very hot deal in my books. High-end Samsung plasmas are pretty much as good as high-end Panasonic plasmas. I have a few friends who bought their big screens from eoutlet and they are happy with their purchases. Just make sure to inspect the TV at the store for dead/stuck pixels.
