Been enjoying Prison Break, just finished S2 last night. Let's see what they have for S3.

Some things have been bugging my about the show, it has this distinct 90's vibe to it, like I've seen a show with similar production style. Also the mobile phones, not smart phones, it amazing to see how much all that has changed. They all have flip phones and yikkies, razors...

Season 1&2 were action packed and fast paced. I found 3&4 had some fluff but still very good but not as sharp.
The show reminds me of Mission Impossible mixed with Shawshank Redemption.

Enjoying The Resident but it ranks in the middle for "realistic".
House and The Good Doctor both rank at the top.
It's been years since I've watched House and I really like the lead. Think I will chase...it's on Netflix (y)
Good article ranking the shows

Watching the version of The Resident that covers the onset of covid.
Hard to remember the chaos. 🍿 The 500 a day dying in NYC always sticks in my mind.

I watched the Australian version of The Office on the weekend on Prime. As pretty much all the early reviewers thought from the trailer, the show was terrible. Bad writing, and they just assume you are going to care because people love and cared for the American version. A few funny moments peppered throughout the series, but bearing the name The Office and comparing it to the UK and American version, this is a complete dud. I was surprised to learn that this was not the first version remake, there was a French version as well that apparently more closely resembled the UK Office.

The Resident I'm really enjoying as some of the treatments are in the experimental stages but making people aware of them...sickle cell being one.
Also Emily VanCamp the main lead and a lovely girl was actually pregnant while filming. Brings the real life in.....very much enjoying the series.
Have House teed up as the next binge. 🍿

No worry about spoilers ...I watched House long ago but thanks to be old have forgotten most....it's all new for me especially the earliest seasons. Jennifer Morrison is very cute as one of the team.

Watching the new season of Lincoln Lawyer which I quite like. Writing is good and each cast member has their interesting quirks.

Finished Season 3 of Lincoln Lawyer and enjoyed it...there WILL be more.
Sort of enjoying House but their tech is well over a decade old and it detracts after seeing The Resident.
Not sure what to watch next

I always thought House was a very well written show and had a bit more depth than the Resident (still watching it).

I agree on the writing in House but gets repetitious after a while for me. I thought the variety of people and scenarios in The Resident was well done....beat your head against a wall about the US medical system and liked how that was a thread going through the series.

I also think the balance of "star power" amongst the main characters in The Resident better.
House had people orbiting him ( some I liked a lot ) but The Resident had a greater variety of "medical stars" and liked the journey's from first days as residents to mature skilled medicos. There was no one in House like Nurse Practioner Nic Nevin...brilliantly carried off by Emily Vancamp. Of course my partner was a nurse so might be a bit of bias there but some of her tales of doctor arrogance were on the money.
Hawkins a good balance for her and his combat background provided useful drama.

Some of the patient "suffering" seemed wrong in House...I've had spinal fluid withdrawn ...I was terrified about it but it was very easy ...just someone pushing on your back ....zero pain. In House they had the teen writhing and sweating....nah. I think I was more impressed with House when I first saw it....not so much after Good Doctor and The Resident.
Hugh Laurie IS brilliant tho.

Maybe it's me, but I don't expect too much realism from any fiction when it comes to the technicalities. How long has it been since Windows, MacOS/OSX, and even Linux GUI's became ubiquitous, yet whenever a computer is in use on screen, someone's always typing a hundred characters on a keyboard instead of just clicking their mouse???

You can only watch so much medical and police shows at a time. Eventually you always come back to one or the other, if by chance.

Lincoln Lawyer was a bit different but I prefer series based on actual events. Biographies are good and I like spy series based on actual things. MI5 was much fun.....good run for me and they covered some of the things that occurred.
The rescue at Entebbe was brilliant. I'll get on war binges and occasional westerns. Stories too unlikely if written as fiction but which really occurred.
