“6“ on AMC+ or possibly the History Channel. Drama about Seal Team 6. It’s not bad….fair bit of action interspersed with some family drama.

Almost finished the last season. It's okay with lots of action and neat toys and featuring worse shooting by everyone since Star Troopers tho the big remote controlled gun on the ship is very cool piece of kit. It's on Prime.
Making me seriously home sick - its based from the naval base in my hometown Cairns in tropical Australia and shot at various locales ....some like Mission Beach, fav ride destinations for me.
And it's WARM ...unlike chilly GTA just now 🥶

Interesting ...might work...the original film was a hot mess but might work well with additional footage and sectioned out.
Great cast.

Baz Luhrmann to debut extended version of film Australia as six-part TV series Faraway Downs

Recut version, set to premiere at SXSW Sydney, inspired by ‘the way episodic storytelling has been reinvigorated by the streaming world’

Baz Luhrmann will debut the expansion of his 2008 film Australia into a six-part TV series at the closing night of the inaugural SXSW Sydney Screen festival this month.
Faraway Downs is an extended version of the Elvis director’s ambitious wartime romance starring Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, David Gulpilil, Brandon Walters and Bryan Brown, which ran for 165 minutes and was a critical and box office flop, receiving a one-star review in this publication.

Luhrmann created Faraway Downs using original footage from Australia’s cutting room floor. He will present the series on the closing night of the festival on 21 October.

Just finished ASHOKA…wow. Great show and enjoyed it as much as Andor.
I enjoyed Ahsoka but it felt like I would have gotten a lot more out of it, if I had watched the animated series that came before. There was just too much lore that couldn't be packed into eight episodes. Andor, on the other hand, was a prequel and didn't need the lore, so much, in order to make sense. They threw in a few tidbits but as fan service, not to support the story.

Recently watched "Who is Erin Carter" I didn't really know what this was. Was entertaining, story wasn't great, but lots of eye candy to keep me interested, plus the setting in Spain.

Getting in to S2 of Wheel of Time, kinda boring so far, lots of stuff going on but it's not very interesting, but just got to a episode with some more interesting bits, so we'll see.

Which series? I checked yesterday and there 2 or 3 different ones.

If you want everything that includes Ahsoka, then it would be...

  • The Clone Wars (2008–2014; 2020)
  • Rebels (2014–2018)
  • Tales of the Jedi (2022)
  • The Mandalorian (2020)
  • The Book of Boba Fett (2022)
  • Ahsoka (2023)
Disney had a sorted list of the specific shows that serve as prequel.

Just started watching The Fall of the House of Usher. Very interesting so far. On Netflix

Half way through the series.
Loving all the subtle and not-so-subtle EA Poe references.
Annabel Lee, Fortunato, Lenore, Grampus etc.

Oh, and Mark Hamill and Carla Gugino are awesome.

Watched another episode tonight. It is brilliantly done. Didn’t expect it. My wife hates the genre, but she really likes it too.

Finished up Wheel of Time S2 - later half was much better. Kinda feel the series is done, but who knows.

Watched Hijack. Was entertaining, some parts didn't make much sense.

As far as the story in the books goes, I'm told they're only a few books in at this point.
