Tuff times for motorcycle crews

So effin annoying. Its because of ********** like him that i now have to always prepay after 12. The gas station by my house never ever had a problem with me filling up first at any time. but apparently they've had a few problems with guys running and now they only do prepay! The older guy that worked there knew me so it was fine but its some new 'by the book' guy that makes you pay first! Cant blame him either.

is this conversation really trying to be justified??

LOL by your definition, if i over spend one month or maybe get sick and lose a day or two of pay and run out of money, to the point where I have none, i may as well just offmyself cause I don't have money to live.

Do you love to ride? Is it a passion? If you lost your sweet job, and If you could still afford to ride most of the time, but if some **** happens one pay cycle and and it sets you behind for a few months, do you now deserve to not ride? Why would I let money stand in the way of my passion......

Such backwards thinking.

You're living beyond your means. Something has to give, otherwise the spiral will only get worse.

Just pay credit card, can't be easier

So in other words, you condone his stealing of gas

LOL, Not at all. I don't steal gas, If I over spend or what not, then I don't get to ride, my loss. My bike sits until I can get gas. People pulling stupid **** like that pisses me off, and makes things more of a hassle for every one else. I was simply saying, that just because I’m not rich or well off doesn't mean i shouldn't have a bike.

Spending some one else money (sorry don't understand the multi quote thing)? I don't follow you sir. I have no credit cards specifically for that reason. So I don't spend some institutions money and get raped with interest. No one else gives me hand outs, there is no money to spend other then my own.

I was a petroleum distribution engineer for 3 years (lol gas jockey, pump monkey w/e) I would never pull some stupid **** like this.

I made my point, I'll drop it now.

Riding a motorcycle is a luxury. What part of that are you not comprehending?

I'm passionate about Mega Yacht's - do you see me running out to go buy one and/or complaining that I can't afford it?

I'm siding with Johnny here. If you can't afford 20 bucks of gas on a motorcycle, then it's pretty obvious you're living way over your means. In other words, you can't afford the motorcycle and no, you shouldn't be riding.

If I ever reach a point where i'm struggling to pay 20 bucks on gas, then the bike is going on Kijiji. Like Dresden said, a bike is a luxury, not a necessity.

Lotta cards are upping their game. ScotiaMomentum gives 4% on gas/groceries, and 2% on everything else.

Nice, so since i live pay to pay, and some times can't afford to fill my bike up, I don't deserve to ride...... Thats logical.....

No my logic is if you don't have $20 for gas to ride a $5000-15000 bike. Then maybe it's time to sell the bike, not steal gas to ride the bike. Looks like a zx10 sell the zx10 and get a cheaper bike, use the difference for gas. Or take public transit till you can afford gas

For me it's a little different, I have not had to use a motorcycle for my main mode of transport since about 10 years now. And even then I was paying $4000-8000 on insurance at the age of 18-20 and still didn't have to steal gas.

I highly doubt that person actually had to steal gas, id be willing to bet they own a car also and many other things regular people have. I have seen people steal stupid things like chocolate bar etc when they don't have too. I'm like did you just steal that? Why?!! No real reason other then they like to steal.

This was bound to happen. I pay at the pump always but I hear they're notorious for scamming cards. Fingers crossed doesn't happen to me

4% on eligible gas station purchases, 2 at drugs stores and 1 on everything else. Plus a 99$ annual fee.

No thanks, i'll stick to my capital one which has 1.5 on EVERYTHING, no limits, no bs, no annual fee. Plus **** load of other goodies...

+1

Unfortunately a lot of people don't have the same morals as you.

Years ago i went on a group ride and a fellow on a sportbike who didn't seem very poor attempted to pump and run....

For me it's already about %80 that gas stations only do prepay for motorcycles at night. Especially when you don't even get off your bike to fill up like in the picture. Bike rolls in and tries to fill up while still sitting on the bike they simply don't turn the pump on until you come in and pay.

One time at night I've been forced to prepay inside when I was about to prepay at the pump... I put my credit card in the pump and after typing the first 2 digits of my pin the screen just said I needed to go inside.

I was just like, wtf?
