Trikes?

Use BMW Motorrad app. Then you can relive the memories anytime.

I love to look at my angle numbers and smile. Or cry.
yeah i know it tracks all that, don't like the connectivity issues (with my old samsung anyways), so i don't sync it anymore.

I used to be anti-trike in my younger days. Now, not so much. I can see how they have there place.
While I am not a fan of some of the styling choices, they get a wave from me and my respect that they are enjoy the ride.

I think the T-rex/slingshot are cool vehicles but I do not consider them bikes in any way. They have car engines, huge footprint, no lean, etc. They are roadsters and fun in their own right. The morgan three wheeler is awesome and has a bike engine but I consider it a car too regardless of which bin gov't throws it in.

The Trex used to have a busa and currently a bmw k1600 engine, no auto engines. The can-am slingshot has an auto engine, chevy I believe.

I stand corrected. My feeling is unchanged. If I put a busa motor in a mini (commonly done), it does not become a bike (and has a foot print feet narrower than spyder/t-rex/slingshot). The mini also leans and lifts a rear wheel in corners so when driven hard it is a three-wheeler.

slingshot is polaris. Can-am has spyder (without doing research, probably rotax or brp engine).

I'm not a fan of the trikes and would NEVER own one. At the same time if it floats someone else's boat then I'm happy for them.

I think the tricycle has done quite a bit of damage to HD's image with younger riders, at least the ones I know. I realize that they work well for what they are, the people that buy them seem happy (and I'm happy for them), and they must be profitable for HD.

Side car rigs on the other hand...I'm all in.

my mistake, i mixed the two up.

does anyone make sporty, lightweight street sidecars? I'd love something on the tuono for the kid or dog. an easily detachable sidecar for family trips and remove for sporty riding and commutes.

IIRC at least one company made sidecars for sporty bikes (maybe gsxr's?), Afaik, easily detachable is a pipe dream. Too many things need to change. If you want something that comes off easily, a trailer is probably your best bet (although not nearly as cool and probably legal issues if you put something living in it).
