Unless you need the 1.25 amps, cheaper to buy 4 of the Juniors, especially when they go on sale for $30. Not much space savings either.

Actually opposite is true the colder it is the slower they discharge just disconnect the positive cable and charge monthly for a few hours.Just take the batteries out and put them in your basement. As long as it's warm they will maintain a charge.

Yup, the protect from freezing thing is if you let it go dead, it may freeze and crack open. Skidoo batteries will sit all summer in my sleds and start up with no discharge, no problem.
