Unless you need the 1.25 amps, cheaper to buy 4 of the Juniors, especially when they go on sale for $30. Not much space savings either.

Just take the batteries out and put them in your basement. As long as it's warm they will maintain a charge.

Actually opposite is true the colder it is the slower they discharge just disconnect the positive cable and charge monthly for a few hours.

Yup, the protect from freezing thing is if you let it go dead, it may freeze and crack open. It is more likely to go dead in the basement but less bad side effects.

Skidoo batteries will sit all summer in my sleds and start up with no discharge, no problem. As soon as the cold comes, they lose their charge..have to get my charger out.
