LOL So much complaining. +1 to the OP; Not that the 401 is ideal by any means, but it can be relatively enjoyable compared to being trapped in a cage. Rush-hour traffic makes driving a car feel especially limiting because it is not as nimble & easy to maneuver, although much safer.
Keep a level head, stay relaxed and focused on the task of riding and don't get too freaked out by cagers making innocent mistakes and you'll be fine. I commute everyday from Mavis & Eglinton - 404 & 7, and I love it. That being said, I'd rather ride a canyon two-lane twisty road for an hour to get to work, but hey - most times, you can't have it ALL.

I don't lane split as tempting as it is because it's not worth getting caught! But it's so much easier to get into the moving lanes while on your bike instead of in a cage.
Oh and I'm a woman to all those who have referred to me as a he lol

Is scary as hell. After a weekend of lunacy in PA at 2X PSL the ride back on QEW was more dangerous. Il take the deer in twisty roads over GTA drivers.
Everyday I ride someone won't see my coming and will make me share a lane with them. I am wearing yellow gear and a red bike. Most ppl don't check their mirrors and blind spots at all
