16 years ago in Brantford? Were there even roads there at the time? I kid..

I still remember when $300k could get you a fully/semi detached house and $160k a townhouse in central Mississauga. It wasn't THAT long ago and people made decent money in comparison to their mortgage.

Money stayed the same, house prices almost tripled.
 
16 yrs ago 150k was an absolutely realistic price for some of the properties in Brantford. 5yrs ago an old apt was rehabed and became a condo on Colbourne ave, ask was 149k for a 1bd room. Even today fully detached large lot homes are 200-300k under the Milton/Oakville/Miss market. Its really quite remarkable, but you'd have to want to live in Brantford
