track bike wanted

No man, I only met Jamie once for 5 minutes and I couldn't stand the guy. (No offence)
I just think his bike is a monster and will rip anyone on the track that day, that's all.

You have a rash too?

I think Mina's high on sarcasm.

Meh...seems he's just lurking around in the Track section, it's a lame attempt at sarcasm when he has never even been to a track before in his life. I find it boring and annoying.

For the record, I wasn't being sarcastic.
If you enjoy riding the track at cold/wet temperatures that's fine but I don't even look at my bike when it's chilly out.
Just because you have done 4 or 5 track days doesn't mean anything.
You are entitled to your opinion, sir.

If it storms at Shannonville on the 23rd, I will make it out to TMP if the weather is decent, I'll be sure to check the weather the day before.
Would love any advice you can offer, cheers!

I'm not sure if you understand what's going on, but Jamie put on WICKED suspension goodies and has an auto blipper that automatically rev matches for him.
Sure, there's always room for improvement but it doesn't matter what bike Jamie rides, he'll ride circles around most of you.
Haters.

Troll.

Ps I have a blipper too. It's called my right hand ;)

You sounded sarcastic given the context: Jamie has often been a flame target from you and a few other individuals. Quite frankly, I don't know the guy that well, but the few times I've seen him and talked to him (both at the track and off the track), I enjoyed talking to him, and he's been readily available to lend a hand or advice (scratch "advice")--opinion, when some other "superstars" felt quite unapproachable. All the "auto-blipper" and "xtina" references around this forum remind me of childhood bullies in their puberty---and none of those people from my memories are anything more than losers nowadays...so go figure why it's annoying. It's better if people just learn to mind their business, lol..

And if you're at TMP and you happen to need some help, you can be damn sure either I or Jamie will be glad to help ya if we can.

As for the actual "speed" comments---based on observations, Jamie hauled *** at the track last season.

LOL... Dude, you're old school.

When I get to the level where 1/10th of a second effects my lap times, ill look into it. I still have to shave alot if time off by entry and exit speed as well as braking etc, these little things are not overly important to me.

Best thread of the week..leader currently in my opinion.

LOL... agreed. The best part is it was started by a GTAM newb.

well i did not mean to start this storm,i am 54 yrs old ,just looking to add a little fun to life, i took the 2 day fast school for my 50th and cannot get it how much fun it was,so would like to get into track days,
thanks to all the ones who posted bikes, now its time to make my mind up, sv or inline four

mike

Dave's SV would be my choice. Not just bc were friends but it has all the goodies you'll ever need and it's priced to move. He is also out master mechanic in our group of friends so if you want a well maintained bike. It's first class. End of story. I tell you what. Depending where u live. If you buy it. Ill offer to trailer it. Verification of payment etc of course :)

Holy crap, thanks Jer! The beer count is increasing. haha...

Well deserved buddy! You know what you're doing when it comes to tuning and wrenching on bikes. Credit due where earned

PS no homo lol

Hi Mike!

What bike did you ride at FAST school?

Whatever bike you find, feel free to post it up to see if anyone knows it. It's a small community and people are always willing to help out! I'd second the decision to go with Dave's SV as a serious option (actually don't know why you would even want to look at another bike) but that is for you to decide on your own time. These SVs have a long learning curve and you will develop your skills better, faster, for less money.

Mina, that's what others were getting at. It doesn't matter what goes on anyone's bike, if the tech is beyond the person's skill level to use it, it won't do squat, and could actually make things worse.

AND if you really want to improve your bike control, learn to ride a bike in the rain.

John.

i rode a gsxr and loved it
i currently have two bikes a st1300 for touring and a 749
the thought of laying the duc down with all i have spent on it would make me weep like a baby,
besides it think it would just be cheaper to buy one already track dedicated

thanks again everyone anyone going to shannoville this weekend ,plan on riding up to watch sunday
