Town Moto – New gear and accessory shop in downtown Toronto.

Damn, lot's of negative comments. I for one was really excited when I saw the bolgto post. They sell a lot of stuff I have been looking at online but never pulled the trigger wondering if it would fit. Now I have somewhere to go and try it on first.

Thanks for the heads up, Retro! I'm gonna try & check it out today.

Does anyone else have any suggestions for stores like these? Fashionable motorcycle gear is a little hard to come by and I don't believe that fashion & function/safety are mutually exclusive. Spidi's one of the few brands that manages to do it well, imo.

Looks like they carry YNOT brand, too. The guy who started that company is the biggest hipster that I've ever seen in my life (but also an amazing fixie rider) lol.

I visited Town Moto yesterday and picked up some odds n ends. Love the place, glad they are there, and I'm definitely going back. Those of you moaning about it being hip, get over it. It's owned and operated by passionate, knowledgeable people so give it a shot. It isn't full of hipsters like Motoretta, Town Moto staff will give you the time of day whether or not you're wearing the latest selvedge jeans and plaid shirt combo.'

Though, there is no denying that it is located within "Hipster Central"

What's with people hating on this place and the idiots going on about hipsters? I stopped by Town Moto and they've got simple, high quality gear.

This shop has a good selection of helmets and jackets for the folk who prefer not to be a billboard on a bike. If you like wearing jackets that have giant logos and brand names splashed across your chest and back then just skip the store, there are plenty of shops that sell that kind of stuff.

What happened to standing by your fellow riders and not judging them? We all ride people, stop thinking you're better than someone else because of the gear you like.

2 years...and this is what you reserve your first post for? Filthy hipster... :p

You're not kidding.

Had a dinner on the weekend there, at Salt, a block or so up the street. Didn't realize that this store was there until I walked past it and had a mini-revelation/understanding.

That area ROCKS for food and bars (well, more intimate bar settings) - and I have a new found boner for filthy hipster chicks (and non-hipster girls, that area was crawling with 'em).

hahahaha it's sponsored by pabst blue ribbon! They're making this too easy

I'm gonna try and stop by before work. You going for sure, Retro?

Yup, I'll be there with my Monster. This should be a fun time. A downtown motorcycle meet doesn't happen much these days, gonna be a lot of interesting people and bikes. Most importantly, inked up hot ladies! There's also a new brew pub next door. I've tasted their beer and it's excellent.

We hit that pub up a few weeks ago when it was much nicer outside - excellent beer (and there's a half dozen bars within walking distance from there as well).

Hmmmmm...an excuse to go drinking...

Cool. I'm gonna try & pop by some time around 8. Can't stay for too long, but I'll come say hi.

Also, BUMP for hot hipster chicks

Stopped by recently. Goods are interesting, prices seem reasonable and people were nice. Nothing bad to say. I'll go back for a better look.

Nice shop, interesting product and really great unpretentious owners that love bikes. If trendy means gear that you can actually wear to work or for an evening out, then I guess they are guilty as charged. I've been in a few times and they are slowly building up their lines. Also carry Held which is a German brand that makes nice stuff. Wish they could carry Rev'it but ONE store has the exclusive for it in GTA and it is in Mississauga.
