Total eclipse - April 8 2024

Not a damn thing to see through the cloud cover in Mississauga...
Well it's come and gone. Too cloudy, and while it did darken a little, I expected nigh-time darkness.

I could see the complete eclipse through the clouds on and off, and the sun's crescent just before and just after

Didn't notice nocturnal animals fornicating.

Was partly cloudy and cleared enough to be visible here. Friend went to Wainfleet to get the max total eclipse time (3min. vs. 1 min. total here in Burlington). She text'd and said it was overcast and couldn't see anything. Rolled snake-eyes.

Got pretty dark here. Don't remember '79 very well. Dog was unimpressed.

Drove from Barrie to Waterford this morning. Took the 400 to 401 and 24 South to avoid the traffic s**tshow on the QEW. Sky cleared up 25 minutes before totality. Totally awesome sight!!! Worth the drive to Waterford.

We also went to Waterford.
Just about an hour south for us.
Was worth it to see 100%.
Lions Park was a great spot to watch from.
We didn’t rush out right after, so traffic back to Cambridge was fine.
