Toronto Raptors '15/'16 season

Raps played with confidence and it showed and rattled Wade, Dragic and Deng quite a bit. Seems like Miami couldn't buy a bucket for quite a while there.
We will need Valanciunas for Cleveland.

I will be first to admit, that Biz has shocked me. I had no idea tat he can play, like this, especially in game 7. He's earned respect fr sure. I thought the we're done the moment JV went down ...

I am looking forward to Cleveland. Game 1 is a must, Clevaland shoud be rusty. They've Ben idling for a while ...

On the other hand, Raps tank s definitely much smaller than Clevaland's after two seven game series, that's just a fact which will show sooner or later.

yeah the Cavs have had 9 days off and had a short series before that - even if they are rusty in game 1, they will be a force throughout. At least now the Raps can really play free and loose, given that their season is now considered a huge success no matter what happens in this series. We might also see a lot more of James Johnson and Bebe to help defend against Lebron and Kevin Love and maybe more Powell to help on Irving. Cleveland is a deep team and Raps are clearly the underdogs.

It's great to see how good Biz has become with catching passing in the flow of the game and finish strong. That's the result of hard work no doubt.

Miami has some really talented rookies - even though they might lose a bunch of vets to free agency this summer, they have great talent waiting in the wings... Surprised Miami didn't play Gerald Green more in the last two games - he's been pretty solid against the Raps.

Raps in 7.

Hate to repeat myself but with a raptors team playing well the heat had no chance, Indiana was the real challenge.

Raptors won the last game vs the Cavaliers in the regular season with just KL playing well, DD sucked so I like our chances but it all depends on which Raptors team show up to play.

They can win against Cavaliers but I hate to say it, they won't against Golden State.

Best game of the post season for the Raps, by far! That was bloody fantastic! And anyone notice, Demar had really nothing to do with it? lol I was scared everytime he touched the ball.

I noticed they kept going to the pick and roll with Biz and it worked almost every time! That's what they should've done all series with Miami having no bigs. Regardless, we won and let's see how we stack up against Cleveland.

Yeah, it was very one sided, you are right ... Raps in 7 games, with their only meaningful big guys out .... the problem is that teams go through ups and downs as well as injuries. The Raptors are not exactly deep team and you cannot expect them to play well every game. DD is still liability with a ball .... he has shiny moments with horrible ones ... people look at his points and they are really hiding issues ... like yesterday first half, he had 17 points, but he needed something like 15 attempts. Horrible from the line when he got there ...

The only way they can win is if Cavaliers suffer injuries, adn not just some injuries, but rather LJ, KI or KL ... preferably two at a time.

We do agree on your last sentence ... all teams are basically playing for 2nd place, including Cleveland .. .assuming no big injuries to GS.

+1

He's an offensive liability right now, to a degree .... needs too many touches and attempts to score.

Biyombo needs to take his shots when he is inside the line.
They also need to toss the ball up or try for a shot as he is a good rebounder. He goes after the ball and usually gets it.
They need to use the big guy more, let him wear down the other team, by the time they try to stop him (2 on 1) then that will leave an open Rap to run the court.

Biyombo has some odd free throw mechanics, try arching the ball a bit more, he seem to shoot it almost straight and hits the back end of rim.

They finally played like a winning team.
Can they keep this level of play against Cleveland?

Also, give T. Ross some more court time. That guy handles business.

T. Ross is the most underestimated player. Best dunks, high 3 point average and athletic to take it to the rim. Needs more minutes

His switch has been turned to "ON" this post season despite having a few clumsy turnovers in crunch time. He's definitely been consistent, otherwise.

can one of you Raps fanbois please tweet your team and tell them they are playing in the big leagues.
thank you!

They have no chance without Valanciunas as a tired and injured team, while missing some serious open looks after that 1st quarter. Cleveland is playing very fresh and are clicking at just the right time.

Raps should be really proud of how far they have come and they have an amazing future and even more amazing fan base (except for some).

It would be an awesome finals if it were Golden State vs. Cavs... Surprised that OKC beat GS, but I didn't watch the game.

Oh boy ... LJ is just toying with them. He's like from another planet.

BTW, I don't think Valanciunis would change anything on the outcome of this game or series. this just might be Cleveland's year ... because OKC and GS will waste themselves in their duel. LJ looks like he's fresh after off-season ... this must be a huge factor down the road.

Just like the whole Cleveland team is peaking right now, Jonas was too when he got injured. But yeah, it just might be Cleveland's year, but those two west teams are amazing.

I would personally really like to see OKC win. They had a great season and it would be an amazing cap to their season. Besides, one of the big reasons why Cleveland and Golden State are so good, is because they have bought their team by going well over the luxury tax... The only way the Raps can compete at the next level is by going into the luxury tax. The 3 other teams in the semi finals are all over the luxury tax and so were the Spurs. It's really that simple.
