I was the guy on the black 08 R6 white icon jacket riding with my brother on his red and white 00 R6 black jacket and helmet. Please do not try to pass me in my own lane. Im sure you noticed i was riding with my brother and i was lucky i checked to see where you were as i dont trust any other rider i dont know. Do not try to pass me in my own lane ifi had i had not looked i would have taken us both out. If you want to ride along stay staggered and do not pass unless you have your own lane to do so. No hard feelings as i noticed you fell back and took a quick right after this happened

I have to say, after watching half a dozen doofus-moves by bikers this weekend, I can understand why people come on here and complain about "cagers"... As buddy crosses two lanes then the bull-nose to get on the highway in front of me..give him the high-beams..he gives me the WTF sign.. Seriously? And such stellar hang-off technique as he proceeded to run the on-ramp at the posted cautionary speed..you go Rossi!!! Sigh..

This happened to me on two occasions and it is quite startling, had a 999 go by me on Bloomington in my lane and he was going at least 50 km/ph faster than I was. almost blew me off the road. The second occasion was on my way home from my only trip to dover, when a guy with his cow on board his Road King split our group of three stagered bikes. Thought we would cath him at the lights in Haggersville but he just went past all at the light in the on-coming lane of more bikes.

These are the riders that give us the rep.

Folks, if you are riding staggered through a two-lane road (especially a twisty road) and a faster rider approaches your group from behind, do the courteous thing and when it's safe to do so, temporarily move from staggered position to a riding column on the right-hand side so the faster rider can pass without having to cross a double-yellow to blow by your parade.

And for all the pantyhose-wearers, yes, your single-track vehicle is legally entitled to the entire 8-foot width of your lane, but honestly... have a little courtesy.

Can they not pass in the oncoming lane like normal people do? Do they have to be ***** about it? Courtesy goes both ways. And then they all come on here and whine about bad car drivers..

I had a guy pass the car behind me and start to pass me on the outside of the York St ramp coming of the east bound gardiner. I was in my car and can honestly say it was the first time I have ever been ****** off with a biker's actions. The worst part was that he made me feel like I couldn't move over to the left to get onto York or I would have hit him. This was around 8 am on a weekday, not the lightest of traffic at that point.

Is the chance of being hit by someone who wasn't paying attention worth the extra risk to save 3 seconds off your commute?

Exactly...I had to back out of it or buddy would have eaten the drums on the bull-nose..like, seriously? You go, racer-guy.. *rolls eyes*

Twisty road + a staggered group of 5+ riders = an uncomfortably long time on the other side of a double yellow

Curves are few and far between on Ontario roads, by the time the dotted yellow comes around, the road is as straight as... well, an Ontario road...

On a bike?? We can pass 5+ bikes in 3 seconds! Try passing a transport on 2-lane in a Hyndai Accent..now THOSE people have problems.. :) Seriously..if it were a bunch of cars, would they do that? It's just stupidity.. I agree, if you see it and can move over, I understand. But most of these guys won't wait..that's what causes the problem in the first place.

And then they'll have a problem if you pull back into the middle of their group.

It amazes me how much respect riders ask for..... but a lot of them give so little in return.... from my observations.

this is one of my pet peeves, I once had a rider blow past me in my own lane doing 150km/h. I knew he was behind me but why pass in the same lane? I'm always swerving to avoid cracks potholes, snakes etc.
