To Get your smilies back....

Go to your User CP (top left of menu)

Then click Edit Options

Scroll to the very bottom, and you will see "Message Editor Interface"

Change that to "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing"

Click Save Changes

Choose "quick Links" to find "edit Options".
Some people may find they prefer the standard editor. It shows the smilies too! ;)
