Well, the day started off pretty crap with a wet track, cloudy skies and misty rain that wouldn't let the track dry - only a few crazies out there tempting fate. But by just before lunch it was dry enough that we could run halfway normal speeds, just riding around the puddles here and there (especially in T1). Then in the afternoon it dried pretty much completely and we got PILES of track time because with so few riders they were only running two groups.
My brother did his first track day ever and had a blast. Thanks to Andrew for coaching him quite a bit, it was very much appreciated.
With red and yellow running together there were some pretty big speed differentials, especially with someone like myself who barely belongs in yellow in the first place. But the fast guys were very polite and left plenty of room as they blew my doors off. All track days should be as pleasant. I would say that 80% of my laps were on totally clear track. Awesome.
Looking forward to the photos on the Trackday Hub site.
