I have a question about the line through turns 2 and 3. Is that truly just one turn for you the way you do it, or are you straightening up a bit coming out of 2 and then leaning it back in for 3? It looks to me like the former but I want to be sure. Trying to learn from the master!

The line through 9 (long, slow right hander at the flag station) is also a mystery to me, so any advice is appreciated.

Yes, I take turns 2-3 as one long sweeper (double apex). The key to this is corner entry timing and speed; carry a lot of speed, aim for the inside turtle upon corner entry and look up to where you want to go, not where you don't want to go. A little touch of the brakes may be used.

With the right hairpin it's important to not turn in too early and be sure to commit to the turn, ie. once you lean the bike over keep it leaned over until you get back on the throttle and pick the bike up. I take the turn wide to try and keep the engine revs up, which is great for lap times, but in a race situation this doesn't work so well... adjust to blocking lines.

Yup, definitely my best session ever at TMP with the last four laps being in the 1:15's, two of which were 1:15.16. Definitely a great way to end the season; I sold the bike and am taking a break... a bitter sweet one.

Thanks very much for the helpful advice! Sorry to hear you are hanging it up for a while, because it is always a blast for the rest of us watching you tear TMP to pieces. I saw the bike for sale and wondered what was up. Look forward to having you back at some point in the future.
