Tmp this sun 15 th just added

Was that you that came to see if I was OK?
If so thanks a lot! :) I really appreciated it.

It was not. I think there was another guy on a bloodish red GSX-R. I think he had yellow leathers. Not sure if he was the one that stopped but when I seen your bike it didn't look to banged up :) hopefully you didn't get hurt.

Great day today! Cold, but nothing like that can stop us, hahaha :)

I will be there with 3 buddies, come by and say what's up!

i ride an 07 GSXR, white with lime green rims. Will be with a white RSV4 and two black Yami's

Your friend on the RSV4 was moving really slow (slower than acceptable for Intermediate group IMHO). That bike is great and really fast, I wanted to play nice and pass in the straights, but even having more initial speed I still couldn't outgun him. Turn 9 was the culprit, I carried much more speed into the corner and saw he's taking a really tight line, so I was on the outside, then he ran wide (WTF), I had to run off... have this on video. Anyway, no offense, but lots of horses shouldn't be an indicator what group people run in. No bad feelings, just saying! Cheers

Sorry, I just remember a red bike.

Not too badly hurt, going to be sore tomorrow though!

Sorry about your crash! I think I saw a bike down at some point, but then a few people people said "nobody crashed today" later in the day... You'll be sore for sure! But as long as nothing is broken, you're lucky! Post a vid if you have, we really like watching crashes (not wishing to anyone, of course, but when it's there---lessons can be drawn). GWS

....
Low sided, broke the left clip-on and left rearset......
...

I could have helped with a clip-on, I've got a spare. Ask around next time (if you wanted to ride more), i wouldn't be surprised if a whole bike can be put together from the spare parts everybody carries around on any given trackday.

I'll be there also, so please play nice :)

Oh well short day for me :(

Low sided, broke the left clip-on and left rearset......

Hope everyone else has a great day! :)
Sorry to hear, those are the standard replacement parts you got to take to the track if you don't want your day to cut short, order two sets of each and have them for next time

...Also at what point should I move to the middle group I was doing 1:28-1:29 for four laps at the end of the day until I ran it off....

I'm not an expert, but if I were the big boss taking decisions and it was only up to me and no other, I'd feel ok if you're running 1:28 somewhat consistently in Intermediate.

In for the video.

In for the video.

I'll post, tomorrow or most probably Tuesday when I find time for that. I don't know, it might turn out to be inappropriate way of trying to pass (if so, i'd like to know so I don't do it again), but the guy was really parking it for the turns.

Moving to the next group is not about lap times

In my opinion is about:
You have learned consistent lines
You are predictable and are able to lap around without running off and you feel in control
You are passing people easily and feel the difference of speed with other riders is making it unsafe for yourself and others

But I am no expert

I only pass on the couple straights so I'm not sure if I would be ready to be passed on corners. Probably some more seat time is needed. I was doing 1:30 mostly all day and the last couple sessions were high 1:20's. The run off was my fault came into a corner with to much confidence. I called it a day before I pushed my luck, gotta stay level headed!

Thanks Corsara and ZX600 for the info and advice.

I'll keep this in mind for the next time.

As for today, I don't think I could've gone back out as I hurt my right thumb pretty badly, can't grip. It's not broken but seriously swollen and sore :(

So what is your rush to move to intermediate? stay in green, no stress. If you go to intermediate you will feel the pressure to go faster and you may not be ready for it

Most of the sessions I'm behind a slower rider. I would hate to spook anyone on the short straights so I wait until I hit the two longer ones.

Lol , thanks but trust me, I am not. I am a mid pack racer at best

All advice, suggestions, or criticism that I've gotten from you so far only improved me, so yeah, you're my expert. Maybe one day you'll stop being that, but I feel that day is far, if ever.
